51 year old Jonathan Craddock has been convicted by a jury of five counts of sexual activity with a child aged under 13 years and one count of sexual activity with a child aged 13-17 years.He was found not guilty of one count of possessing indecent images of a child and he was sentenced to six years' imprisonment.

He was also given a Sexual Harm Prevention order and will be placed on the Sex offenders register for life.

The victim first reported the abuse to police in 2015. The abuse took place at an address in Stratford, east London between 2004 and 2011. The victim had suffered in silence throughout those years.

She was abused by Craddock on a regular basis, daily at different times, over a period of years.

PC Phil Adlem shocked his boyfriend and the thousands of people present at the Gay Pride event when he stepped away from his duties, went down on one knee and popped the question.

Writing for The Guardian, Phil now admits he wished he never made the public proposal due to the shocking abuse he has faced online. He said the immediate responses were positive and warm but when he went online the vile comments wiped the smile off his face.
He said:
"I looked through the online comments from the British public. Most were fantastic. But my smile did not last long as I continued reading."
He found comments that were downright homophobic and some that were simply too vile to be repeated.
"Both should be hanged till death," one comment read and another went: "don't blame ISIS if they strike them".
He was offered media interviews but turned them all down as a result of the hateful comments. It was no better at work as Phil became the recipient of hate from a colleague, causing him to regret proposing in public.
Phil said:
"A further hostile reaction at work from one of my colleagues and another from an old college friend was enough for me to wish I had never done it."
Phil, who is a speaker for an LGBT charity, also revealed he was subjected to a brutal homophobic attack on his 18th birthday.
He added:

NDLEA has convicted 240 suspected drug users in Kano state Nigeria.

The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), say it has secured the conviction of 240 suspected drug users in Kano State in the last six months. Mr. Hamza Umar, the Commandant of the agency told newsmen in Kano on Tuesday in commemoration of UN International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
He said the UN day, with the theme “Listen First’’, was marked globally on June 29.
According to him, 768 suspects were arrested out of which 505 of them were counselled and 68 rehabilitated during the period.

Umar explained that the 240 drug users were convicted and sentenced to various jail terms, while over 39.224 kilograms of different hard drugs including 6451.976 kilograms of cannabis were also seized.
He added that among the illicit drugs seized were 327.15 kilograms of psychotropic substances, 358.3 kilograms of cocaine and 31.8 kilograms of methamphetamine.
According to him, measures taken by the command have led to the drastic decrease in terms of supply and consumption of hard drugs in the state.
“The agency in Kano had commissioned a 16 man committee to steer and coordinate all plans and strategies aimed at curtailing the menace.
“It is my belief that in preventing and controlling drug abuse, the community must be mobilised to be part of the war.
“The major factors leading to drug abuse are in our community, the abusers are in our community, therefore, the full support and involvement of the various groups in the community is necessary,” the commandant said.

President Trump shared a video Sunday on Twitter of himself slamming WWE President Vince McMahon to the ground and punching him, with the CNN logo superimposed over McMahon’s head, escalating his recent attacks aimed at the news media.

The footage, taken from “WrestleMania 23” in 2007, shows Trump approaching McMahon outside of the ring, using a clothesline move to knock him down and punching him in the head before turning to walk away. The altered clip mocking CNN recently appeared on a Reddit.com message board.

The president’s tweet included a pair of disparaging hashtags: “#FraudNewsCNN” and “#FNN.” The video was also shared by the official @POTUS account.

“It is a sad day when the president of the United States encourages violence against reporters,” the network said in a statement. “Clearly, [White House press secretary] Sarah Huckabee Sanders lied when she said the president had never done so.”

The network added: “Instead of preparing for his overseas trip, his first meeting with Vladimir Putin, ‎dealing with North Korea and working on his health care bill, he is involved in juvenile behavior far below the dignity of his office. We will keep doing our jobs. He should start doing his.”

Trump’s latest Twitter assault comes three days after his controversial tweets attacking MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski’s appearance.

On Thursday, the president lashed out at Brzezinski with an unusually harsh personal attack aimed at both her and her co-host, Joe Scarborough.

“I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don’t watch anymore),” Trump wrote on Twitter. “Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year’s Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!”

The tweets sparked widespread condemnation from both sides of the aisle, with Republican lawmakers urging Trump to tone down the rhetoric and others openly questioning the president’s mental stability. The White House defended Trump’s attack, saying it was an acceptable response to the “Morning Joe” pair’s criticism of the president.

“When he gets attacked, he’s going to hit back,”Sanders told reporters. “I think the American people elected somebody who’s tough, who’s smart, and who’s a fighter. And that’s Donald Trump. And I don’t think that it’s a surprise to anybody that he fights fire with fire.”

Sanders also dismissed the notion that Trump encourages violent behavior.

“The president in no way, form or fashion has ever promoted or encouraged violence,” Sanders said.

Aides told the Washington Post they were worried that Trump’s feud with “Morning Joe” was distracting from his feud with CNN, which they thought was more winnable.

Late last month, CNN retracted a story that suggested a questionable link between an ally of Trump and a Russian investment fund. The network announced the resignations of the reporters who wrote it and issued an apology.

At a Republican fundraiser at the Trump Hotel in Washington, D.C., last week, the president told donors it would be “fun” to sue CNN.

“These are really dishonest people. Should I sue them? I mean, they’re phonies,” Trump said,according to audio of the closed-door event published by the Intercept.

“It’s a shame what they’ve done to the name CNN, that I can tell you,” Trump added. “But as far as I’m concerned, I love it. If anybody’s a lawyer in the house and thinks I have a good lawsuit — I feel like we do. Wouldn’t that be fun?”

The president continued his anti-media tirade Saturday.

“The fake media is trying to silence us, but we will not let them,” Trump said during an event honoring veterans at the Kennedy Center in Washington. “The fake media tried to stop us from going to the White House, but I’m president and they’re not.

Trump Wants to   Rewrite Obama's Overtime Reforms

WASHINGTON ― The 80-hour work week isn’t going anywhere for now.

The Trump administration on Friday declined to defend landmark overtime reforms put forward by former President Barack Obama last year. In a brief filed in federal court, the White House said it instead wants to take its own stab at tweaking the nation’s overtime rules.

That’s a mixed bag for the nation’s salaried workers.

Obama’s rules would have extended overtime protections to an estimated 4 million additional people, entitling them to time-and-a-half pay when they work more than 40 hours in a week. Any plan that the Trump White House comes up with would be far less sweeping ― but would still cover more workers than the status quo.

Overtime pay has become pretty much a foreign concept to a whole generation of Americans who work on salary. While hourly workers are automatically entitled to extra pay for extra work, the rules for salaried workers are more complicated. The way they’re written now, only an estimated 11 percent get overtime pay, compared with around 65 percent back in 1975.

Obama tried to cover more workers by raising the so-called salary threshold ― the level below which pretty much all salaried workers are guaranteed time and a half for overtime. The current threshold is just $23,660; the Obama proposal would have moved it to $47,476, bringing protections to millions of workerswhose salaries fall between those two numbers. It was perhaps the most dramatic economic reform Obama attempted through executive action.

But business groups sued on behalf of employers that don’t want to pay more overtime, winning a stay from a federal judge in Texas. Obama’s reforms have been in limbo since. Supporters of Obama’s plan, like labor unions, could step in to defend it in court, but the Trump administration could still rewrite the rules.

As the Justice Department brief makes clear, the White House wants to keep that option open. Although the White House didn’t defend the details of Obama’s reforms, it did support they way Obama did it, by hiking the salary threshold. So, while the White House may not like the changes Obama made, it essentially concedes that he was within his power to make them.

Echoing other Democrats, Rep. Mark Takano (D-Calif.) said in a statement that he was glad the Trump administration defended the method behind the overtime expansion, but disappointed it bailed on the expansion itself.

“President Trump has fought in court for his executive order punishing cities that welcome immigrant families, and he has fought in court for his Muslim Ban, twice,” Takano said. “But today he is refusing to fight for the American workers who he repeatedly promised to protect.”

The overtime issue is a tricky one for Trump. He built his campaign around the idea of creating good, high-paying jobs, and yanking potential raises away from a few million workers isn’t a great look. It’s become apparent since he took office that he won’t embrace the breadth of Obama’s reforms, but he’s probably willing to update the overtime rules in some fashion.

His labor secretary, Alexander Acosta, made this clear during his confirmation hearing in March, where the overtime reforms figured prominently.

“We now see an update [Obama’s] that is a very large revision. Something that needs to be considered is the impact it has on the economy,” Acosta told senators. He said he was concerned about the “stress” Obama’s reform could place on nonprofits and employers in low-wage areas.

When pressed on a possible salary threshold, Acosta got specific. “If you were to apply a straight inflation adjustment” to the current level, Acosta said, “I believe the figure if it were updated would be somewhere around $33,000.”

That would cover far fewer workers than Obama’s threshold of $47,476, but it would still bring overtime protections to some people who don’t have them now.

Kenye West reportedly Leaves Tidal over Financial Dispute

While there are no receipts, a TMZ report citing anonymous sources claims Kanye West is attempting to split from Tidal over unpaid money.

Tidal may be the reason for the back and forth between Jay Z and Kanye West, punctuated by a few of West’s on-stage rants and Jay Z’s bars from his newly released 4:44 album. West has previously voiced his frustrations with Jay Z’s streaming service, but if a recent report is true, West and Hov’s issues aren’t limited to clearing verses for a Drake feature.

“Kanye West, a key player in Jay Z's Tidal stable, has left the company over a money dispute and Tidal has threatened to sue him,”TMZ reports, citing anonymous sources connected to Tidal. “We're told Kanye has complained the company owes him money—more than $3 million.”

The report also claims West’s lawyer sent Tidal a breach of contract letter two weeks ago to terminate an existing agreement with the company. When lawyers from both West and Jay were reportedly unable to reach a resolution, West’s team allegedly declared the contract over.

West was originally announced as one of Tidal’s co-owners during the company’selaborate roll out press conference in March 2015. His The Life of Pablo album was originally a Tidal exclusive during its February 14, 2016 release before eventually being made available via all streaming services and digital retailers in April of 2016.

In October of 2016, West ranted to a Seattle crowd about “Pop Style” being omitted from Drake’s Views album due to a conflict between Tidal and Apple Music.

“And this shit be getting me tight every time I perform this motherfucker,” West said. “That y’all didn't get what y’all were supposed to get with me and Drake on this song  ’cause of some Tidal/Apple bullshit.”

West subsequently became one of the people Jay Z targeted on 4:44, as the track “Kill Jay Z” finds Hov rhyming, “But you ain’t a Saint’ this ain't Kumbaye/But you got hurt because you did cool by ’Ye/You gave him 20 million without blinkin’/He gave you 20 minutes on stage fuck was he thinkin’.”

Sources connected to Tidal tell TMZ, Kanye has been unhappy with the company for a long time. We're told Kanye has complained the company owes him money -- more than $3 million. Our sources say a month ago Kanye's lawyer sent a letter to Tidal, saying the company was in breach and the contract was terminated.

Over the next 2 weeks lawyers for both sides tried to resolve the conflict but failed.

We're told 2 weeks ago Kanye's lawyer fired off a second letter declaring again the contract was over. Kanye's decision to split from Tidal predates the release of Jay Z's album in which he trashes Kanye, and we're told Kanye had no advance knowledge of Jay's lyrics.

We're told Kanye's beef with Tidal is twofold -- his Saint Pablo album resulted in 1 1/2 million new subscribers to Tidal, for which he was supposed to get a bonus but the company hasn't paid.

Kanye also says Tidal reneged on reimbursing him for music videos. Our sources say Tidal's position is that Kanye didn't deliver the videos required by the contract.

Kanye's response ... I'll deliver the videos when you pay me what I'm owed. We're told Tidal fired off a letter to Kanye, saying as far as the company was concerned it still had an exclusive contract with the rapper and if he tried to go to another streaming service they'd sue him.

We're told Kanye's willing to walk away, but if Tidal sues him, he'll sue them right back.
